Texas Longhorns (Austin), Texas

Had some family come over to visit over the last few weeks so took a brief trip to Austin to get out of town and show them what Texas is all about. One of the main reasons we decided to visit was to watch the University of Texas play a collegiate football game against the West Virginia Mountaineers.

The prematch tailgate was a whole of fun. Apparently it was only 29 degrees but it felt a whole lot warmer standing out there for about 6 hours before the game! During the afternoon Bevo was also paraded down this street before he went into the stadium

The UT band shaped like a cowboy hat.
Texas won the game 38-20 which was good, they moved up to 3-2 on the season.
Texas play at the Darrell K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium. The attendance was 100,740 and apparently the third consecutive game Texas have sold over 100,000 tickets. In comparison Wembley, the official England Football stadium only holds around 90,000 people.

Howdy, my name’s Matt. I'm originally from England but now live here in the Great State of Texas. Since moving here I thought it would be fun to try something new and enter the world of photo blogging.

    1. Lol yeah it was great thanks! Yeah it got wild to say the least, some of the stuff people were shouting was hilarious, never heard someone refer to the referee as a “zebra” before 😂
