San Xavier del Bac Mission, Arizona

It’s been a while so thought it would be fun to add some more photos from last year’s trip to Arizona. As we drove through Tucson, as well as seeing America’s biggest Cactuses! Also managed to pull over for a quick stop at San Xavier del Bac Mission, one of the oldest structures in Arizona!

The present building was built between 1783 and 1797. It’s one of the best preserved examples of Spanish architecture in the entire United States. Every year it attracts over 200,000 people.

Over the last 30 years it said it had been extensively renovated, and i think they did an impressive job! I like the dome style architecture, the Missions in San Antonio had those too which was cool!

Like something out of a Clint Eastwood western (minus the security cameras)

The Mission’s Alta.

Howdy, my name’s Matt. I'm originally from England but now live here in the Great State of Texas. Since moving here I thought it would be fun to try something new and enter the world of photo blogging.
