It crosses the Ouachita Mountains and offers amazing views year round. The main reason we decided to goContinue reading “Talimena Scenic Drive, Arkansas”

Barcelona V Juventus, Cotton Bowl Stadium Dallas
Went out last night to watch a preseason friendly at the Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas between Barcelona & Juventus. It’s the second time i’ve managed to catch a live game of Barca, the first being in April 2018 watching them take on Leganes in La Liga at the Nou Camp. That was one ofContinue reading “Barcelona V Juventus, Cotton Bowl Stadium Dallas”
Washington DC
Took a trip earlier this summer to Virginia on the east coast of the USA. Thought it’d be fun to share a few photos from a day we spent in Washington DC. Washington is the Capital city of the USA, named for the first president George Washington.
Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge, Texas
Thought i’d share a few photos from our trip to Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge in December. Going in the winter is one of my favourite times of year, each season has it’s own distinct wildlife at the refuge but during December/January there are usually thousands of Snow Geese which makes an amazing natural spectacle.
Ruby Valley, Nevada

In this postContinue reading “San Antonio, Texas”
Lake Ray Roberts State Park, Texas
Enjoyed a visit to Lake Ray Roberts recently, it’s a massive reservoir around 30 miles North of Dallas. It has two Texas State Park locations attached to it, the one we visited was the Isle du Bois unit on the southern side of the lake. There’s a lot of activities to do there including boating,Continue reading “Lake Ray Roberts State Park, Texas”
San Jacinto Battlefield & USS Texas
I thought i’d share a few other photos from visiting Houston a few months back. As well as going to Anahuac we also visited the San Jacinto Battlefield, the most decisive battle of the Texas Revolutionary War. The battle was fought in April 1836 and resulted in total victory for the Texans who also tookContinue reading “San Jacinto Battlefield & USS Texas”
Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge, Texas
Recently went to the Texas gulf coast, around 70 miles South East of Houston to Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge. It’s 34,000 acres of natural habitat mainly for birds and in particular shore and wading birds. It’s also a great place in the spring to see migratory songbirds whom travel through after crossing the Gulf ofContinue reading “Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge, Texas”
