Thought i’d share some photos i’ve taken over the last few years at a few different places around the USA. There’s not really a theme of the photos just a very random bunch which i thought i’d like to edit.
It’s been a while since i shared any photos on here so thought i’d add some photos from Dallas earlier this spring. Over the last few years i’ve done a lot more wildlife than street photography, so for a change i’ve edited some images from Downtown.
Taken a little while but got around to editing more photos from the Ruby Valley. I’ll share some images of the wildlife we encountered at the National Wildlife Refuge. I’ll do my best to identify the birds (with help from the National Geographic’s Complete Birds of North America book & the Audubon App) but i’llContinue reading “Ruby Lake National Wildlife Refuge, Nevada”
Took a Summer trip to Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge in North Texas. This is the first time visiting in the Summer and it didn’t disappoint. We arrived at the refuge at around 630am in time to watch the sunrise which was impressive to say the least. As always there were plenty of birds and otherContinue reading “Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge, Texas”
This is probably one of the stranger places i’ve visited since moving to Texas. El Reno is a small town about 20 miles West of Oklahoma City. The only reason i’ve heard of it is due it suffering one of the most violent tornado’s in recorded history. In May 2013 a complex of thunderstorms developedContinue reading “El Reno, Oklahoma”
Having survived the worst of the big chill in Texas these last few days, we took a trip down to White Rock Lake to get out of the house and enjoy some fresh air by the lake. Unsurprisingly given the recent conditions the lake looked rather different to usual with a sheet of ice stretchingContinue reading “White Rock Lake , Texas (Winter Storm)”
Having spent so long in the DFW metroplex over the last few months, we decided to take a trip to East Texas and Caddo Lake State Park. Caddo Lake is a large lake and bayou on the state border of Louisiana and Texas, around 3 hours east of Dallas. It’s named after the native americanContinue reading “Caddo Lake State Park, Texas”
Earlier this month my parents came over to visit, we explored a number of places in Texas including the Reunion Tower in Dallas. Reunion Tower is a viewing platform located in Downtown. With either a single ticket or the Dallas City Pass you can go up and enjoy some spectacular views below. Here are someContinue reading “Reunion Tower Dallas, Texas”
Around 70 miles North of Dallas is The Red River and the Texas – Oklahoma border. With my family visiting town we thought it would be fun to travel north and venture into “The Sooner State”. On the way we visited Denison, TX. The hometown of General Dwight D Eisenhower before crossing Carpenter’s Bluff Bridge.
Welcome to my photoblog, the photos displayed here were all taken throughout Texas. I find Texas a beautiful state to live, from the endless prairies, to the western desert, to the downtown metropolises located throughout this enormous place. There’s no shortage of amazing scenery to visit and explore. For each photo I take on myContinue reading “Texas Photography”
