Talimena Scenic Drive, Arkansas

Thought it’d be fun to share a few photos from a trip to Arkansas we took in November 2022. Talimena Scenic Drive is around 50 miles long and begins in Talihina Oklahoma, and ends in Mena Arkansas. It crosses the Ouachita Mountains and offers amazing views year round. The main reason we decided to go was to see some fall colours, and it didn’t disappoint!

We probably should’ve checked the weather forecast before we left, as we spent most of the day in the clouds

Sadly we don’t get colours like this in Dallas.

Howdy, my name’s Matt. I'm originally from England but now live here in the Great State of Texas. Since moving here I thought it would be fun to try something new and enter the world of photo blogging.

  1. That is a drive that I’ve been wanting to take in the fall. So far I’ve always been occupied with other things at the right time of the year to do this. Thanks for sharing your experience.

  2. Did you make it over to Cedar Lake SP? Talihana..the Choctaw landed at Buffalo rock, there. That valley is magical. Sardis reservoir is not too far from there and is also quite beautiful. Well worth the travel.
