Took a Summer trip to Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge in North Texas. This is the first time visiting in the Summer and it didn’t disappoint. We arrived at the refuge at around 630am in time to watch the sunrise which was impressive to say the least. As always there were plenty of birds and other wildlife to enjoy whilst visiting.

Cheers David! Unfortunately missed it, sandra turned and ran at such a speed from it I don’t think my highest shutter speed would’ve caught it before it went back into the grass

Very nice collection of photographs! What’s the bird that looks like a bush stone curlew (I saw one in Australia) or perhaps a juvenile night heron?
